Born in South West France, Anna Chocola started using a sewing machine when she was 11 and hasn’t stopped since.
Anna attended Art College in France where she completed a five year course and was encouraged to work on her favourite material – textiles. Her first ideas explored the ideas behind the clothes people choose to wear. From this her work became very conceptual and the space for body disappeared and she began making massive textile sculptures.
Anna moved from France to Brighton last January and likes to represent how we picture our smallest cells as well as our dream figure.
