Inspired by the physicality of edges and boundaries within nature, Chrissie’s work evokes the mutability of sea, weather and light. She explores her individual past through the process of her art- each canvas representing ‘a personal history manifest in autobiographical layers of paint’.
Originally from Birmingham, Chrissy studied 3D design at Brighton University as a mature student, where she specialised in Fine Art and Ceramics. It was during this period she developed an ongoing love of surface. This passion is reflected in her paintings through the incorporation of a variety of mediums. Alongside oil paints, Chrissy uses clay, molochite, enamel and mixed media on the canvas to construct a unique and expressive finish.
Chrissy currently lives in Brighton where she works as a successful artist.
